Pool cages & screen enclosures.

Screen enclosures, cages and lanais cleaned at low pressure — mildew off the frames and mesh without stretching or tearing a panel.

What you get

Screens cleaned, not stretched

Screen mesh has almost no tolerance for pressure — a wand held too close will belly a panel out or pop it from the spline in one pass. Cages get a soft-wash approach for exactly that reason.

  • Low-pressure soft wash across mesh and frames
  • Mildew and salt film off the aluminum
  • Spline and panel condition checked as we go

  • Surrounding deck rinsed down afterwards
Why low pressure

The cheapest repair is the one you avoid

Three things that go wrong when a cage is cleaned with pressure.

Panels pop from the spline

Once mesh comes out of the channel it has to be re-splined, and that is a repair bill instead of a clean.

Mesh stretches and bellies

Stretched screen never sits flat again, and it shows from the house every time you look outside.

Frame paint chalks off

Aluminium frames have a finish on them. Aggressive pressure takes it off and leaves the metal to oxidise.

How we do it

Our cage process

Soft wash, dwell, gentle rinse.

1

Prep the area

Furniture is moved clear and the deck and surrounding plants get pre-wet before anything is applied.

2

Apply and dwell

A soft-wash solution goes on the frames and mesh and is given time to break down the mildew and salt film.

3

Rinse gently

A low-pressure rinse over every panel and frame, then the deck underneath gets washed down.

What actually happens during a pool cage or screen clean

Screen enclosures get inspected before we start, because a screen that's already torn or pulling away from the spline needs to be worked around carefully rather than blasted. We note any existing damage up front so there's no confusion later about what was already there.

Cleaning uses low pressure and the right technique to lift dirt, pollen and salt film off the mesh without stretching it out of the frame or popping it loose. Aluminum framing gets cleaned alongside the screens, since the two usually need attention at the same time. The result is a cage that lets more light through and looks far less tired, without shortening the life of the screens themselves.

Good to know

Pool cage questions

Common questions about screen enclosure cleaning.

Will the screens survive it?

Yes — because we do not use pressure on them. Soft washing is the only method we will use on mesh.

Can you clean the inside as well as the outside?

We can do both. Tell us when you book so we allow the time for it.

What if a panel is already torn?

We will point it out before we start and work around it. We do not carry out screen repairs ourselves.

How often does a cage need cleaning here?

Annually for most properties. Cages near the water or under trees tend to need it more often.
