House soft washing.

Eco-safe low-pressure wash that lifts mold, mildew and salt film from siding, stucco and brick — without damage.

What you get

A clean that will not cost you siding

High pressure belongs on concrete, not on your home. Soft washing uses a biodegradable solution and a gentle rinse to kill the growth itself, so the finish stays intact and stays cleaner for longer.

Why soft wash

Gentle on the house, brutal on the mold

Three reasons this is the only method we will use on a home exterior.

Kills growth at the root

Mildew and algae are living organisms. Treatment kills them outright, so they do not grow straight back like they do after a plain rinse.

No forced water intrusion

Low pressure will not drive water behind siding, into window seals or up under soffit — the damage a pressure wand can hide for months.

Stays clean longer

A treated surface holds up through a Gulf-coast summer. A blasted one starts greening again within weeks.

How we do it

Our house wash process

The same routine on every house, start to finish.

1

Protect and pre-soak

Landscaping gets watered down first, and every electrical fixture, doorbell and outlet gets covered before anything is applied.

2

Apply and dwell

Biodegradable soft-wash solution goes on from the bottom up and is given time to break down the biological growth.

3

Rinse and walk through

A low-pressure rinse from eaves to foundation, spot treatment on anything stubborn, then a walkthrough with you before we pack up.

What actually happens during a house wash

When we get to a house, the first thing we do is walk the exterior and look at what we're dealing with — where the mildew and salt film are worst, what kind of siding it is, and what needs covered before anything else happens. Landscaping gets pre-soaked, outdoor outlets and doorbells get bagged, and anything delicate near the wash zone gets moved or protected. None of that is optional; it's the step that keeps a house wash from turning into a landscaping problem.

The actual wash starts low and works up, applying a biodegradable soft-wash solution from the bottom of the house to the top so it has time to dwell and break down the organic growth before we rinse. Rinsing goes top to bottom at a pressure that won't force water behind siding or up under soffit. We walk the whole exterior with you before we leave, and anything that still bothers you gets touched up on the spot.

Good to know

House washing questions

The things Destin homeowners ask us most.

Will soft washing damage my paint or siding?

No. That is the whole point of it. Pressure is kept low enough that the cleaning is done by the solution rather than by force, which is what makes it safe on vinyl, stucco, Hardie board and painted surfaces.

Is the solution safe around plants and pets?

We use biodegradable solutions and pre-soak landscaping before we start so nothing sits concentrated on your plants. We do ask that pets stay indoors while we work.

How often should a house on the coast be washed?

Most Emerald Coast homes do well on a once-a-year wash. Properties in heavy shade, close to the water, or under a lot of tree cover often need it more often.

Do I need to be home?

Usually not, as long as we can reach the areas being cleaned and there is an outdoor water source. We will confirm the details when you book and follow up once the work is complete.
